In conjunction with the Language Month celebration in commemorating the Language and Literature Bureau's 65th anniversary, the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports through the Language and Literature Bureau organised the reading of Surah Yasin and Tahlil. It was held specifically for Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Al-Marhumah Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit, and Al-Marhum His Royal Highness Prince Haji 'Abdul 'Azim at the Royal Mausoleum, 24th June afternoon.

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Shamhary bin Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. The culmination of the Language Month 2026 celebration will be held on the 7th of July at the International Convention Centre in Berakas, carrying the theme 'Bahasa Jiwa Bangsa.'
